Cecilia has graduated to the next classroom in daycare. This means she is sleeping on a cot, drinking from a cup and soon, she'll be introduced to my good friend, the potty. Grace was very happy to hear that they both take naps on cots at school. Today, Cecilia was trying to draw on the couch with a ballpoint pen. I took the pen away (a little too late) and told her that we don't draw on the couch, only on paper. She started to cry and went over to Grace who hugged her and sat her down on her lap. Then Grace comforted Cecilia by saying, "It's OK, to not get what you want. Mommy does that to me ALL the time." After hearing this, Cecilia stopped crying and the 2 of them rocked together on the floor for a while.
