July
And now it is JULY!!! It's a hot one, for those of you out-of-state fans (Mike)! We did some home improvements, new windows, new trim color and soon some new flooring. That's right. No more horse sized pee stains in my den. I'm excited. They tore out the old carpet and wood floors and we are now living with cement board...it's like a cement sidewalk inside the house. Needless to say, the girls both have skinned knees all the time. We will have cement floors until the end of July, then ceramic. We hope. The girls are taking swim lessons and getting in touch with their inner dolphins (sharks, jelly fish, the choices are endless). They are doing well and we are grateful that another fear has been conquered. Who cares if we had to pay someone else to do it? Even if that is technically what we do for a living...anyway. Grace is also taking tap classes where she is apparently encouraged to stomp her feet very loudly. Not sure if it is tapping or angry clogging, we will wait and see. We went to WI for Jeff's mom's 60th b-day. We drove up in a rented van and stayed in hotels (CC calls them "hollitels") The girls loved staying in the hotels, but they were not so good at sleeping in the hotels. We continue to try to get them back on track. CC turned 2 and she is doing "the being 2 thing" quite well. She is still working on potty training. We are in it for the long haul with this one. She loves the mad dash to the public restrooms. So much sport and fun! Jeff just finished the MS 150, where he road for 2 days, 75 miles at a time. He was able to raise a significant amount of money for charity. Thanks to those of you who contributed. He had a good time, and enjoyed all the quality time "to think" which I think means "away from the noise of the house". We are not offended. Now there are 4 of you: Steve, Mike, Rick and Jessica. I appreciate you taking the time to read my stream of consciousness. And Rick made a good suggestion, T-shirts for my readers are being printed as you read this.

oh goody, I like t-shirts. I will design some if you really want some shirts to comemorate these wonderful blogs you write. It was great seeing the girls at magiano's the other night. Tell Grace and Cecilia hi for me! I'll pass the word along for more followers to read these things. Tell Jeff hi too.
