Cold, Cold Update
Grace is doing well, fighting colds and learning to write. She continues to love school and have so much fun that she brings an incident report home about twice a week. Incident reports are sent home when a child gets physically hurt at school. Most of Grace's incident reports fall under the general heading of "Collision With Another Child". Yes, that is an actual heading. Cecilia is allergic to being cold. I'm not kidding. It's called Uticaria and it causes hives, redness, welts and itchy skin. It has been averaging in the 20's here lately so we are doing everything we can to keep the poor kid warm. But we also keep topical Benadryl everywhere for when we didn't get her warm fast enough. It happens. Even though she has had tubes for more than 2 weeks now, she continues to have the same ear infection she had when she went in for surgery. She is on her 2nd prescription for antibiotic ear drops (3 X's/day). The Dr. told us that it goes in better and is more comfortable if they are warm, so I have been spending my days walking around with a little container of ear drops in my bra. Not so comfortable.
